For The Sake of It

Yesterday I had a few minutes to kill in between patient appointments.
I had my camera in my car
and decided to stop at a little creek near my house
to take some photos.

Practice.
Shoot.

For no specific reason.

I took some photos of rocks

tree bark

grafitti

and rust

so that I can play with the texture applicator
in photoshop some more.

And then I thought
perhaps this is as good a time
as any
to get some new photos
of me.

Without a camera covering half my face.

I put my camera on a rock
set the focus as best I could
exposed the scene
and pressed the shutter:

I am glad that I stopped my car
grabbed my camera
and just shot for the sake of shooting.

I am learning.
Growing.

And it feels good.
